This has been a great summer for the plus size industry! With a lot of more great curvy fashion becoming available to full figured women, as well as a number of events and model searches being organized, the future for curvy fashion and plus size women worldwide looks bright and definitely stylish!

I have also been introduced to a number of new on-line plus size clothing stores this summer, including SWAK Designs, Belle Avenue and Mimi’s Curvy Corner. I love discovering new stores on-line! Besides the fact that I love shopping, love looking at different styles and designs, the more curvy stores there are on-line, the more choice is available to plus size women, and that is something that curvy ladies have always craved for: more choices, but more importantly more stylish and quality choices.

Mimi’s Curvy Corner is one of those budding on-line plus size clothing stores which has a bright future ahead. The selection offered at Mimis’ Curvy Corner is a beautiful and fresh one, which offers options for both day and night. All styles are very contemporary and the price tags are incredibly attractive.

A few weeks ago I was lucky enough to be able to try out first hand some of the curvy clothing offered by Mimi’s Curvy Corner… and here is my take on the items:

1. Perfectly Plum Cross-Over Neck Top: The first things that struck me about this top was the color, it comes in a gorgeous purple tone, and since I have a soft spot for pinks and purples this top immediately made me smile. It is a casual top which I would choose to wear for a day out and about, and perhaps even for a casual coffee or movie in the evening. Paired up with either flats or kitten heels, this top can easily be worn up and down. It is incredibly comfortable and the V-neck give is a very sexy look. If you choose to wear this top for a casual evening out, it might be a good idea to match up some accessories to give it a complete different look; try matching up a pair of earrings and a nice necklace. This top features a cinched effect at both sides of the hips, and in my opinion this effect is the cherry on the cake for this top as it continues to define the curves and shape up the body. An essential ingredient in a curve flattering top.

2. Sexy Gold Empire Wait On/Off Shoulder Top: The next top which I took a look at is one which is more suited for wearing at a party or a night out with friends or your partner. It is a very cute brown top with gold detail. Again it comes in a plunging V-neckline, making it a very sexy number to wear! A ribbon details is found just under the breast line, joining up as a bow at the left hand side. This adds a gorgeous detail in my opinion and along with another great feature, the slightly cuffed sleeves, this is a top which will definitely make you stand out from the crowd. This tops can be worn both on shoulder and off the shoulder, for a sexier look.

3. Jet Black Cinched Bust Top With Lace Trim: The final top from Mimi’s Curvy Corner which I took a closer look at was a black formal top with lace trimmings. This top is perfect to be worn in a more formal setting, perfect for instance for a dinner party or even a work related evening event. The lace detail at the neckline gives this top a classy and chic look. The cinched bust, along with the lace trim, continues to give the top sexy and dramatic aura. Again this one proved to be very comfortable to wear.

Overall I was rather impressed with the selection of tops I took a look at from Mimi’s Curvy Corner. These particular ones showed that Mimi’s offers a selection ideal for any time of the day, or occasion. Furthermore it is obvious that these tops were created with the plus size figure in mind as they fit very well and enhance all the right curves! So I would definitely recommend you give Mimi’s Curvy Corner a closer look.

Although it’s skorching hot over here right now, with temperatures reaching the high 90s, I’m enjoying taking a sneak peek into the plus size Fall fashion trends.

Although my closet always is pretty full right now, when preparing for a night out I often stare at my open closet wondering, ‘What shall I wear?’.
