Just Dazzlind Productions’ goal for business is to uplift, enhance, motivate, and celebrate the full figured woman. Many women have expressed their desires to not only join this industry, but most want to know the basics in etiquette to help them better themselves for whatever goals they are trying to achieve. Thus The Diva In Me Conference was born. First starting with social activates and now blossoming into a complete Educational and Success tool for our market of women and teenaged young ladies.  

The Diva In Me Conference is the first ever of its’ kind, as it features the needs of Plus Size Women and Teens only.  There are many Conferences out there but none that only focus on these topics and in this arena.  Just Dazzlind Productions is pleased to say that the public has fully embraced our vision and has opened its’ doors for more information.

As a part of our commitment to Supporting Divas in their communities, we are honoring Cincinnati’s own Raye Kimberlin, Simone Party, and Faith Daniels, of Radio One, as Outstanding Achievers for 2008.

In support of the Breast Cancer Awareness Foundation, we are hosting a Conference for Plus Size Women and Teens entitled “THE DIVA IN ME”.  This will take place February 15 & 16, 2008 at the Sheraton Hotel here in Cincinnati, Ohio.  Friday February 15, 2008 will kick off the event with “Divas giving Back” a fundraiser for the Witness Project and the Breast Cancer Foundation. Tickets can be purchased online at www.justdazzlind.com.

We are looking for all Women and Teens that maybe interested in joining us for this Spectacular Event.  We are accepting registration for ages 16 and up.  The Cost is $80.00 advance registration by December 15, 2007 or for those wishing to attend the Fashion Show only Saturday February 16, 2008 the event price is $20.00. This event will consist of workshops geared toward Fashion, Financial, Spiritual, and Self Enhancement.

We are also promoting a model call for the Runway Competition!!  If you meet these requirements we are looking for you:

• Full Figured Sizes 14-22.
• Height- 5’6 minimum.
• Ages-18 and up.

A week ago I pointed you to a video showcasing a full figured pageant. This week I’m pointing you to another cool video to give you another look at the goings on of a plus size pageant. This time we look at Miss Full Figured USA, 2007.

I recently ran across the video below on YouTube and I wanted to share it with you all. It give a glimpse on what goes on backstage and on stage, during a plus size model pageant. This particular one is Miss Full Figured New York, 2007. The ladies here seem to be having a ball and are look great.

Skorch Magazine has recently announced a model hunt, sponsored by MEWV Sustainables which will take place this Sunday, 23rd September between 11AM and 2PM. The model hunt will be taking place at the Fashion To Figure store in Elizabeth, NJ and unlike most other model hunts, this time there is no fee to enter!

This will be a great opportunity to experience the modeling industry, get free clothes, national exposure, meet some great people and have some fun!

You might have seen her wearing your favorite outfit in an online plus size store. Or perhaps you haven’t. Whatever the case, Louise MacCallum is an inspirational plus size model who you should definitely read a little bit about.

Today I have just ran across this article on The Daily Record, which recounts how Louise MacCallum struggled with size acceptance. Now a very curvy and gorgeous size 14/16, Louise had previously battled with a lot of dieting, until finally finding a way to accept and love her curves.

Hailing from Inverness, ones of Louise’s major accomplishments in her career was being chosen to open Milan Fashion Week this spring wearing a gorgeous black Elena Miro dress. In this particular article Louise shares a piece of advice, which just had to be shared here:

Her advice for girls considering a career in modelling is simple…

“Don’t be affected by it all,” says Louise. “Some women are naturally very skinny but many starve themselves to stay on the catwalk. Be who you are and be careful.”
