What To Buy Your Husband This Christmas
With Christmas fast approaching, we’re always on the lookout for that special gift for that special someone. And we, as men, can be notoriously difficult to buy for. We insist on necessity and gladly unwrap our annual supply of socks and jumpers, safe in the knowledge that they’ll be used. We also, unfortunately, sometimes run downstairs to find yet another joke tie beneath the tree. But every once in a while, we receive a gift that we may not necessarily need but almost certainly want.
A Day to Remember
Give him a day to remember and to look forward to long after the wrapping paper has gone. Experience packages come in all shapes and sizes from paint-balling to taking to the skies in a hot air balloon. If your special man’s second love is his car then maybe a few laps around the world-famous Silverstone track in a top sports car would be his ideal day out. Of course, you don’t just have to get one package- so treat yourself too and go with him!
Or if your husband is glued to the television come Saturday afternoon then how about buying a hospitality package for him and some of his friends at his favourite football or rugby team’s ground? Many grounds offer packages that include a ticket to the game, drinks, food and some of the best seats in the house. Not only will it get him out of the house on a Saturday, it’s sure to put a smile on any serious football or rugby fan’s face.
His Own Beer
We all know that most men love a good pint of beer. But what could be better than making your own? A brewing kit will keep him entertained all Christmas day and beyond as he tinkers continuously over the perfect brew. He’ll not only be pleased with the end result but with the (much more important) savings and skill involved in creating his very own beer. It may make the house smell a little but to him it’s the smell of satisfaction; of a job well done. Of course, once it’s ready he’ll need some help in tasting it!
A Watch
Forget the latest gadgets, the DVD box sets and, yes, the joke ties. The special man in your life deserves something special, something with style. And there are few things that we associate more with male style than the wristwatch. For a man, his watch is the equivalent of an entire box full of jewellery. It speaks style, sophistication and is synonymous with reliability and quality. So it’s important to make the right choice and few brand names, in the world of watches, are more respected than Oris.

One of the first gifts I bought my husband was a nice watch for when he goes to events. All he had was a sports watch which does not look good with a nice suit.
