When it comes to nightwear, it’s a common misconception that you have to sacrifice comfort for style. This is not the case and the times when you really want to slip into your nightwear, the end of a hard day for example are the times when you feel worst about the way you look. Lounging in stylish nightwear can make you feel special and comfortable at the same time and perhaps make every day a pyjama day!
Keeping Ahead Of Styles
To keep ahead of style even in your sleep go for contemporary styles in comfortable fabrics. The best fabrics for night wear are silk, cashmere, satin and soft cotton. This may not come as news to most women but the contemporary styles added to the mix may do. Night Shirts, wraps, bed jackets lounge suits and chemises are all big on style while holding on to the idea of comfort too.
Obviously nightwear shopping may not be the most glamorous of activities but if you’re going to go for something a little more stylish, it can turn into a whole new experience. Busier ladies may lean more towards shopping online. Internet shopping is really booming and is used by most consumers. There still may be initial worries about size etc. when it comes to ordering clothes and even nightwear online. These can be real worries as being sent a misfitting item can be very tedious. To remedy this problem go a for a well-known trusted internet brand such as Figleaves. Figleaves Nightwear is filtered by bust size as well as high street sizes and they are the same across the board of items on the site which means you can shop in confidence.
Differing Styles
Styles differ in season with nightwear as they do with any other area of apparel. Obviously winter and summer nightwear options are different; most people tend to go for something warmer in the winter than they do for the summer. With spring upon us it’s time to box up the heavy flannel pyjama sets and source a new chemise or short set.
To go with your new stylish spring/summer nightwear why not go the whole hog and get a new dressing gown too? There are many light weight materials being taken into the dressing gown sphere. For that extra bit of style go for a fun print or added extras like secondary coloured piping.

Over the years I have managed to locate many online retailers of plus size clothing.
Some are great and have the clothes I want to wear, some are definitely not for me..
However, it has been a real challenge to find plus size sleepwear, much less plus size
sleepwear which I would be willing to wear. I don’t want short “sleepshirts” or sleep
pant and t-shirt combinations but these seem to be the only sleepwear items available
in plus sizes. I checked out “Figleaves” and found one plus size chemise in a long
length. This is exactly what I find on almost every women’s plus size clothing website: ONE
ankle length chemise or nightdress which is elegant and flattering and which shows off my
best body parts and does not hide them. Yes, glamour is what I want! I am in my fifties and I
don’t want to look like a teenage girl. I would like to find some elegant robes as well!
Finally – why does the photo in this blog feature a woman who is definitely not plus size?
