It's always good to find new things! Especially when finding new store to shop around in. I love it when I have ample choice; when my shopping is not limited. 1. Fabric counts! Ensure the fabric you choose it not a crunchy one as this type can make you look bigger.
2. Avoid pleats. These are a definite no no for plus size women as they magnify curves, no enhance them!
3. Don’t sweat it. Wicking fabrics are a must for larger women.
4. Avoid clothes that do not give definition to your shape! (Items also known as tents.) Hiding under loose fabric does not help and does not look good.
5. Avoid clothing with cuts towards the middle of the body, as this puts emphasis on this area of the body. Instead choose items which make the most of your best assets, legs for example.

Maintaining the plus size clothing directory, Pasazz.net, gives me the opportunity to get to know several people within the plus size fashion industry. A few months ago, I got to know Yul Kwon, who is the managing director of a budding 'new' plus size fashion line called Missphit. I hope you all had a lovely Thanksgiving holiday yesterday! Today, I just got started with my Black Friday online shopping at my favorite plus size clothing stores. 1. Faux Fur Trimmed Black Embroidered Sweater Coat: I just fell in love with this sweater. It looks so warm and cozy. It's perfect to wear to work (we have quite casual dress policy at work), and also to go out in it during the evening.

2. Rumba Red Velvet Tie Back Top: This season I love red, I have already bought two pairs of red shoes from the local shops here, and this top will be perfect to wear with them. Good on jeans, and also on a denim skirt, a very sexy number indeed. Can't wait to wear it.

With Thanksgiving only a couple of days away and Christmas a little over a month away, I though it was time to reveal our final list of plus size dresses we recommend full figured women look at, as options to wear during the holiday season.

If you follow the Plus Size Clothing Scoop, you will remember that in around mid October I released our preview list, which included the top 5 plus size Christmas holiday dresses I had our eye on. This was only the preview list, as it was a little too early to conclude things; I was sure our favorite plus size clothing stores still had more in store for us. And I was right! Our favorite stores brought out their holiday dresses and fashions. In fact the final list has been extended to list 10 plus size dresses which are perfect for the holidays! Some dresses have changed positions, some have stayed where they were, and others have been pushed out of the list by better options. Without further ado, I shall leave you to look at our chosen dresses.

1. Fiorella Lace Gown with Shrug in Red from IGIGI
Our true winner from IGIGI still holds the top spot! This gorgeous gown remains our top favourite dress to wear during the special Christmas holiday season. Colored perfectly in red, the lace make it look chic and warm at the same time. Beautiful stretch lace has an iridescent effect due to a contrasting lining. This is the second post, in a series of three plus size holiday party tips brought to us by IGIGI. Whereas in the first post, IGIGI guided us to what the hottest trend is, as regards to plus size dresses... this time round IGIGI bring to us some hair-do tips and tricks.

Hollywood Red Carpet Hair

Down Do - Sexy Tousled Hollywood Curls (think Selma Hayek)

1. Apply mousse to wet hair and blow-dry with a round, mixed-bristle brush.
2. Set hair in large hot rollers, smoothing each piece of hair before rolling it.
3. Next, gently remove the rollers and lightly spray the curls with hairspray and let the curls cool before doing anything else.
4. Once your curls are cool, part your hair to one side (whichever is most flattering to your face) and run a flat, mixed-bristle brush down the length of your hair. Not to much brushing, once or twice should suffice.
5. Last but not least - apply a finishing cream for added shine.

Up Do - The Classic Low Bun (think Reese Witherspoon)

1. For a polished, low turn, apply mousse to damp hair and blow-dry with a round, mixed-bristle brush.
2. Work in a styling gel from the mid-length of your hair down the ends; this will make your tresses easier to manage.
3. Separate the hair along the crown of your forehead from the rest of your locks, and pin it loosely out of the way.
4. Pull back the bottom half of your hair into a low ponytail, and secure it with a clear, snag-free elastic at the nape of your neck.
5. Twist the ponytail and wrap it around the base, securing it with bobby pins.
6. Take the hair from the top of your head and then tease the roots in small sections to create volume. Then wrap and pin the ends around the base of the bun.
7. Tame any flyaways with a small amount of finishing cream, apply hairspray for an extra, all-over hold and voila! A chic chignon.

Hair Flying Tip:
Getting off work late and running to a party with no time in between? Adding some barrettes, pins or other fun hair adornments is great for livening up the locks!

That is why I am today taking a closer look at three unique and intriguing plus size fashion designers, in a bid to bring you a little step closer to those designing the awesome plus size fashions we have available on the market nowadays. Knowing 'where your clothes come from', like a piece of art, will make you cherish them more.

Yuliya Zeltser of IGIGI
A fashion designer born and raised in Ukraine, Yuliya felt the need to provide full figured women with beautiful clothing, when she saw how hard it was for her own mother to find clothes in her size that made her feel like a gorgeous and chic woman. An interesting article I am across online yesterday explores issues around a person's weight, and how this can interfere with their career. The article describes how two different plus size women worked their way around the fact that their weight was indeed having an impact on their career; with one woman shedding pounds to get ahead and the other refusing to let the weight interfere.

It's an interesting read and shows you how different people tackle these issue in a different and personal way, and a lot of it I think has much to do with working environment, and ultimately the way you feel with yourself. Although I have personally experienced weight discrimination on many occasions, I have been fortunate enough not to have experienced this on my place of work. That would really be distressing if it had to happen.

Shopping, for most women, is a relaxing and fun experience; something to look forward to greatly. However, shopping during the Christmas holiday season can be far from relaxing.

The people infested malls and stores might turn around the relaxing shopping spree altogether, make you feel uncomfortable and more stressed! The added pressure of needing to buy so many things in a short period of time definitely does not help and continue to add to the pressure.

This month in fact, we've met up with Michael Kaplan, who's the founding partner and CEO of an exciting new plus size clothing store, Fashion To Figure. Michael is also the great grandson of plus size fashion pioneer Lane Bryant.

Pasazz: From a male's point of view, what is your opinion of the plus size woman's image as depicted (or perhaps not such much) in the media? Do you feel there is a lack of exposure of the curvy woman's beauty in the media?

Michael: I think there has been a lot of progress over the last 5 years in increasing the profile of plus size women in the media. I still don’t think we have come far enough. Remember that I come from a family where my great grandmother had to fight for years just to run an advert in the New York Herald Tribune for the maternity clothing that she made. Our market has always been under-served and under-represented. That is part of the reason why there is so much excitement about FTF.

I came across a very interesting article today which I had to share with you all. It specifically deals with the issues plus size and super size ladies have to go through whilst they are expecting. The article at Parents.com gives some good advice and points out several tips which should help guide those plus size women who perhaps are feeling discouraged or down because doctors are making them feeling guilty about their weight. Being plus size and pregnant does not have to mean trouble is on the way. It just means that one needs to take that little extra attention to make sure all goes smoothly. If you're pregnant, or are planning on bringing a bundle of joy to the world, I suggest you take a look at this article as it's a real eye opener and contains excellent advice for curvy women who are pregnant.

With Christmas soon on the way I couldn’t help but already start shopping around to see what holiday styles have already been made available at my favorite plus size clothing stores. I have been shopping around particularly for a formal dress, one to use during the Christmas season, to wear at parties and gatherings. Many beautiful styles and outfits are available already, so I decided to draw up a list of the top 5 plus size dresses which I think are perfect for plus size women during the Christmas holiday season. I am calling this my ‘preview list’ because I am sure within the coming months plus size clothing stores will bring out and reveal new dresses and styles made especially for the upcoming holiday season.

So take a look at the preview list of top plus size dresses which I recommend full figured women take a look at. This top 5 list will be updated (and also expanded) next month, including newer styles and options.

1. Fiorella Lace Gown with Shrug in Red from IGIGI
A true winner from IGIGI., this is my top choice! A beautiful gown, which screams out “Wear me for the Christmas holiday season!” The red color is perfect for the season and the lace make is look chic and warm at the same time.
