I would like ideas on how to buy from websites/catalogs successfully without having to return 2/3 of what I buy.
I love the clothes on websites like Igigi and Kiyonna, but am reluctant to buy because I have had such bad luck with variation in sizing in the past. I always use their sizing charts and end up with clothing that is either hanging off me or is way too small, sometimes from the same company in the same order.
I’m interested in where I can get good plus-size basics. V-neck t-shirts that fit right. Things like nice black pants, and suits that look professional. I’ve got lots of sources and ideas for cute & fun – it’s work clothes that elude me.
I am most interested in really tying an outfit together. You provide so many great links and suggestions for pieces. How do we accessorize a great dress? What shoes are trendy but also comfortable? How can we make a statement without being loud? Where can we find big jewelry that isn’t cheap or tacky? What are good skin products? etc. etc. etc.
The one thing that i would love to see is just a list of sites that offer plus size fashion. But don’t cost an arm and a leg for. Lane Bryant clothes are fantastic, but when your on a budget its hard to buy from them.
There are plenty of sites I can visit if I want to hear about political or body image issues — PSCS is where I come to learn about designers I didn’t know about, pieces I’d never seen, and sales I didn’t know were happening. I’d love to click on this space and learn about a new plus-size line or collection that I’d never have heard about otherwise. Or see great pieces from a colelction or website that I wouldn’t normally look at.
And of course I always like hearing about sales — and when possible, sharing discount codes.
Links to cute shoes that come in larger sizes and wider widths are always welcome. I know not all women who wear plus-size clothes also wear plus size shoes, but a lot of us do!
And another thing!
I’d love to be exposed to some great plus-sized Etsy finds — people who sell plus-sized stuff on Etsy or who are open to making things in custom sizes. I started compiling a list of my own here –

and I’d love to see more stuff! Etsy seems to grow every day, which means more plus-sized offerings, and I for one like to give some of my discretionary income to people, instead of just big faceless companies.
Thanks!
Thanks for all the excellent suggestions ladies! I’ve taken note, and will endeavor to implement a lot of these in the coming months. Do keep your comments coming!

I love your site….it has actually opened my eyes to some new places to buy clothes and lingerie online….keep up the good work! I would like to see more articles on real plus sized women and what they deal with day to day, such as confidence and body image. Thanks!!!
