Yes we do! And why do we… you might ask? Well recently J.K., the best selling writer of the Harry Potter series of books, has criticised within her website the ultra-skinny models that practically infest the media. J.K. describes them as “empty-headed, self-obsessed, emaciated clones”.
“The best-selling writer said she was prompted to write about the subject on her website after reading a magazine featuring photographs of a thin woman who was “either seriously ill or suffering from an eating disorder”.”
We applaud J.K. for taking this stand - although we support women’s efforts and hard work in every industry - we appreciate greatly when celebrities, especially non-plus sized ones, take a stand on weight and image issues, helping to promote self-love.
