Plus size comedian and actress Mo’Nique won the Oscar for best supporting actress for her role in ‘Precious’, yesterday during the 82nd Academy Awards.

I think she looked stunning in her gown! Will post more later on this week about the fashions worn at the Oscars, but had to post about Mo’Nique’s great accomplishment first.

This is what she had to say after winning the Oscar…
“I would like to thank the Academy for showing that it can be about the performance and not the politics. … Thank you so much to my amazing husband, Sidney. Thank you for showing me that sometimes you have to forgo doing what’s popular in order to do what’s right. And baby, you were so right.”
